In the Old Testament of the Bible there are over 300 prophecies about the Messiah that were made by many different prophets from 450-1400 years before the actual birth of Jesus Christ. These prophecies were made by some of the most revered and respected prophets of that 950+ year period of time (Moses, David, Isaiah, Micah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Zechariah, Malachi, and others); and these prophets foretold with extreme accuracy the future life of the Messiah - Jesus Christ. For the sake of brevity, I will only mention 25 of the 300+ prophecies in the Old Testament that were fulfilled in later times. Below, I will show a brief description of these prophecies, followed by the source of the Biblical Old Testament prophecy (book, chapter and verse), followed by the New Testament book, chapter and verse where the prophecy is fulfilled. As you will see, these prophecies are extremely specific, and the chance of any one of these prophecies (never mind all of them) being fulfilled is incredibly high. The chance/probability of all of them being fulfilled without Divine intervention is zero. The only explanation for these prophecies being fulfilled is that these prophecies were God-inspired, and intended by God to be recorded and fulfilled by Jesus at a later time. I have tried to select prophecies from Jesus' birth and early times, His ministry with His disciples, and the period of time around His death on the cross, resurrection from the dead, and ascension into heaven. It should be noted that any reference below to the first five books of the Old Testament ( Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy) relate to the prophet Moses. Additionally, about 50% of the writings in the book of Psalms are attributed to the prophet David, while most of the remaining Psalms were written by other authors (many unknown).
